The standard engine in the new Cadillac Escalade is a 6.2-liter V8 with 420 horsepower and the ability to deactivate half of its cylinders to save fuel when you're cruising. The other option is a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder diesel engine that generates 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of low-end torque.
